Welcome to the Galloway Sailing Centre, located on the idyllic banks of Loch Ken, nestled in the heart of the Galloway Hills.  It provides the perfect surroundings to enjoy outdoor activities on or off the water. Welcome to the Galloway Sailing Centre... We offer a range of services including activity courses, equipment hire and accommodation. Our activities include sailing, windsurfing, power boating, kayaking, canoeing, archery, mountain biking, outdoor laser-quest and climbing.  We cater for groups of all sizes from individuals, families to large school groups.  From ¼ activity packages to week long residential holidays, our aim is to give you a memorable holiday in a friendly family atmosphere.

Activities offered

We run a wide range of activities including dinghy sailing, windsurfing, power boating, kayaking, canoeing, flat and whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, raft building, team building/initiative exercises, night line and gorge scrambling, abseiling, climbing, zip wire, leap of faith, archery, outdoor Laser Quest, hill walking and orienteering. We cater for everyone from family fun days to watersports instructor training. Equipment is available for hire.

We run activities for

Children (individuals and groups); adults (individuals and groups); corporate clients; disabled clients, School groups, families, non-residential or residential.

Location

On the shores of Loch Ken - a beautiful, in-shore loch in Dumfries and Galloway, 10 miles north of Castle Douglas on the A713. The centre is clearly signposted.  This non tidal fresh water Loch provide a safe and ideal venue for beginner or intermediate watersports and outdoor activities.

Accommodation

We offer self-catering or fully residential facilities for individuals, families or groups.  We can cater for groups up to about 40 ppl within the centre, individual bookings are welcome.
