Loch Insh Watersports

Loch Insh Watersports is a 4 star visitor attraction with 14-acres of woodland, half a mile of beach frontage and 700 acres of beautiful Loch Insh and the river spey bordering the RSPB Bird Reserve of Insh Marshes. There are plenty of activities on site for everyone including Sailing, Windsurfing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Rowing, Raft Building & Racing, Dry Slope Skiing, Archery and Mountain Biking and Fishing. Instruction is available by the hour, day or week and special rates are offered for groups of 10 or more. Loch Insh is also the starting point for numerous local walks, lochside trails and cycle routes situated on the Sustrans Cycle Way. Various accommodation options are on site. Meals (breakfast, lunches and dinner) are available in the Boathouse Restaurant situated by the shore with an open balcony overlooking the loch. Also onsite are the Bosun's Locker gift shop and the Quarterdeck Bar.

Activities offered

April - mid-October: multi-activities on scenic Loch Insh of sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, river trips, rowing, salmon & trout fishing, dry ski slope skiing, archery, mountain biking and hill walking. Hire and/or instruction by the hour, day or week. December - April: downhill skiing hire and/or instruction. Just 16 miles from Cairngorm slopes. 60m artificial ski slope and rope tows on site. Interpretation / fun trail and children's adventure area open all year. Experienced, qualified instructors and recognised by appropriate governing bodies. En-suite B&B and self-catering log chalets on site. Licensed loch-side restaurant, gift shop and bar.

Location

A superb location, Kincraig is just 7 miles south of Aviemore and 41 miles south of Inverness. Easily reached by road, rail, air. There is a small grocery store and post office in the village. Loch Insh is situated in the foothills of Glenfeshie with a backdrop of the Cairngorm Mountains.

Accommodation

Superb self catering log chalets overlooking scenic Loch Insh and the mountains. Set in 14 acres of woodlands in the foothills of the Cairngorms National Park, the site borders an RSPB reserve and half a mile of Loch Insh beach frontage. Insh Hall is ituated in the foothills of Glenfeshie by Loch Insh and provide comfortable hostel accommodation for groups on self cater and full board basis. Up to 80 beds. Free watersports hire 8.30-10am and 4-5.30pm is offered for guests staying two or more nights.
