Our holidays and short breaks offer the chance to experience some of the best scenery in Scotland and enjoy the best in Scottish hospitality. Cycling should be enjoyed rather than endured and we work in conjunction with a range of small/medium-sized quality hotels to provide great food and fitting level of comfort after each day of cycling.

All our cycling holidays and short breaks are assisted by GPS Navigation on the handlebars of your bike – making sure you stay on our carefully researched routes along minor roads and stretches of the National Cycle Network.

Activities offered

Velodays offer self guided cycling holidays throughout Scotland, with weekends, short breaks and week-long trips all available. Our routes offer a choice of linear journeys (if you want the satisfaction of ending up somewhere other than where you set off) or circular routes.

Our tours allow visitors to Scotland the chance to park the car for a few days and see the country and its people up close. Scotland may look beautiful at 70 mph on the motorways, it looks, smells and tastes a whole lot better on a bike.

We also offer guided tours and packages for those who want to take on the challenge of a long-distance cycle. For those who prefer to settle into a nice hotel for a few nights, we also organise a range of packages that provide you with bikes, routes and GPS navigation to allow you to explore you preferred local area from the comfort of a single hotel.

Anyone looking to enjoy the best of Scottish cycling.  We work with corporate clients lloking for a day or two out of the office or with charitiable organisations looking for a fundraising challenge.

Velodays is based in Aberdeen, but offers cycling holidays and short breaks in the Highlands, Perthshire, Grampian, Edinburgh, Stirlingshire and The Scottish Borders

Accommodation

We are pretty fussy about the accommodation we chose for our clients.  We largely work with small 4-star hotels.  We prefer independent hotels that give a true flavour of Scotland and feel like a reward for the efforts of days spent cycling.
